Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death (JF Lawton, 1989)

What's it about? A shortage of avocados threatens the stability of the free world. Unfortunately, the avocado jungles of South California are roamed by the Piranha women, feminists so militant and radical in their outlook that they eat their men with guacamole. Can Professor of Feminist Studies Shannon Tweed track them down and persuade them to move to condominums in Malibu? Or will rival feminist Dr Kurtz, who has gone native, foil her mission?

Is it any good? How can such a genius set-up possibly fail?! Sadly, the film doesn't quite live up to it's promise - there's one good joke, but the rest is let down by a distinct lack of gratuitous nudity and by being, well, absolutely terrible.

Anything else I should know? Viewers might recognise a young Bill Maher, who has now transformed into celebrated comedian, satirist, political commentator, author and documentary maker. Presumably, this film made him the man he is today.

What does the Fonz think? Awful.
